As a lion roars outside my tent in Kenya’s Laikipia wilderness, I reflect on an unforgettable encounter earlier today at Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

I met Baraka — a blind black rhino with an extraordinary story. He lost one eye in a fight with another rhino and later developed a cataract in the other, leaving him completely blind. Now protected in a spacious enclosure, Baraka serves as a powerful ambassador for his species.

To touch and feed this gentle giant was nothing short of humbling. A moment I’ll carry with me forever.

Today i visited the very popular Rothschild Giraffe Centre. The Manor house is probably one of the most famously photographed Intagram moments on the planet it was nice playing tourist today because we often send guests here and children love it.
