Ruaha National Park, Tanzania.
Day one on safari and guess what we saw, wow!
Our Tribal Leader Matthew is currently exploring the second largest park in Tanzania and already seen so much wildlife. It's currently the end of the dry season so it's offers traveller's a complete contrast to other parks like the Serengeti which is typically lush green.

Wow, we have never seen that before.
Our guests sent this from their recent safari to Kenya. They were on their game drive when two lions had made a Buffalo kill. Normally Buffalo are lazy and don't interfere. It's a strange thing to witness because with so many of them, you think they would help their fellow creature. On this occassion, they all rushed in but it was too late.
For some people on safari, it can be a tough thing to witness a kill, especially for children but we feel a necessary thing to see. It's the circle of life unfolding in front of you.
Thanks for the share Anna Moody from Australia. We hope to see you on another African adventure.

But the general direction maintains as they make their way from Tanzania’s Serengeti - the Ndutu plains, the savannah that spills from the foothills of the Gol Mountains, through the Western Corridor and over the border into Kenya’s Masai Mara, accompanied by herds of zebra with whom they share an ancient partnership of symbiosis. The zebra’s keen vision, the wildebeest’s excellent hearing and better sense of smell mean that the two species literally look and listen out for each other. Just as well: the other groupies that tag along are predators who pick them off as they go: lions, cheetahs, hyenas.

Karibu (Welcome) to Zanzibar
The Masai many years ago would never have been seen in Zanzibar. They would typically stay on the mainland, tend to their herds of cows and lived a very simple, farming life.
With tourism growing so much in Tanzania vs the expense of owning a herd of cows, a number of Masai find themselves selling beautiful souvenirs to tourists on the island. They don't actually ask much and they're extremely polite people. If you don't want anything, simply say Asante (thanks).
This video was made in Jambiani on the East Coast. It's low season, not many tourists about, therefore not much money for them to buy groceries. Our Tribal Leader Matthew had met then previously and made a deal to pay for a photoshoot. They were so pleased they could buy some food for themselves and and friends.
Andrew, the taller of the two had taught himself basic English in 2 months. They are here, getting ready for what should be a good season in July and August.
If you see a Masai, say "Jumbo" (hello) and allow the conversation to start....
