| MY FOND FAREWELL |
To all my lovely followers ♡
After a bit of a rocky start, just over a month ago, and a few run-ins with some people who are quite disconnected from nature, you guys made my stay in Onrus something truly remarkable. In the last decade or so, that I have been visiting the South African mainland, I have never experienced hospitality like this - so a very big, heartfelt thank you, from me to you ♡
So many positive things have come from my visit, but I will leave that up to Meredith to post about in the next few days. From my side, the most important thing is that I felt safe and protected, and I was able to accomplish what I had set my mind on doing, which was to undergo my annual moult.
Over the last week I have made increasingly longer swims, and some really long foraging trips, with mega rest days in between - this is the perfect way for me to test my new fur coat and get back into good physical condition.
I'm not sure where I will sleep tonight - perhaps on land, perhaps at sea - it all depends on how successful my hunting was, and where the fish is located that I am following.
I may write to you here and there, if I have a moment, but right now it is my time for hunting-eating-rest-repeat. I really need to get nice and chunky again so that I can survive colder temperatures. Check out the collage I made showing how skinny I became over the last few weeks 👀😮
Remember to live mindfully, one moment at a time, and be kind to all kinds ♡
From the bottom of my heart, I will never forget you,

P.S. Thanks to all the local ladies that fell head-over-heels for me, I have lots of other loveydovey names that the island beach masters will NEVER let me live down...so for now they shall remain unspoken 🤫
