Vermaaklikheid Olive Farm - Self Catering Accommodation

Vermaaklikheid Olive Farm was established in 2009 and is the first such farm to be established in the tiny hamlet of Vermaaklikheid (please refer to our photo gallery for directions). We have a small olive growing concern and produce extra virgin, cold pressed olive oil from our orchard. We primarily use the hardy Mission Olive to make our oil, but also blend in Italian varietals - Frantoio, Lecci

no and Coratino- to produce a very tasty and distinctly pungent and peppery oil ideal for using fresh on salads. We offer self-catering accommodation in two rustic and charming cottages on the farm - Hannah se Huis and Jongmanshuisie. Hannah se Huis is an open plan cottage (separate room for adults!) with little fuss or frills and is ideal for a family of four, while Jongmanshuisie is a very cute thatched, Cape fisherman's style cottage and is ideal for a couple. Vermaaklikheid Olive Farm is situated approximately 1.5km from the pristine Duiwenhoks River which offers excellent recreational boating, fishing and more. Bigger boats can be launched from the public slipway at the Duiwenhoks River Mouth, approximately 7km away.
