I have had a love for the mountains since my youth where I spent most of our family holidays wandering about the trails and streams in the Drakensberg.
The mountains provide solace and majesty, a refuge from the hum-drum, a chance to connect with yourself and appreciate life and our part in it.
The fresh mountain air, giddy chatter of the streams and sheer might of the towering bastions and peaks rekindle my fondest memories. One day in the mountains feels like a week of holiday anywhere else. And minimalism is the best kind of breakaway.
