Our 3 bush houses are constructed from wood and glass, with all rooms having sliding doors opening onto private decks with swimming pools. Game viewing can be done from the comfort of your bed because the game very often comes to you! Imani Bush House is an exclusive destination situated within 200 Hectares of a sand forest area with various watering holes. It boasts a wealth of Antelope species,

as well as Giraffe, Zebra, Warthog and Wildebeest, all of which are endemic to the area. We are a premier bird lover’s destination with 120 species viewed in the lodge gardens alone and we have a bird hide just 100m from the garden. We have an extensive network of walking trails and because we have no dangerous animals, guests are free to explore these on their own. We are a low risk malaria area.

Gorgeous winter walks at Imani Bush House - luckily the heavy rain in early 2023 has meant our animals have plenty of forage to get them through these (fairly mild….) KZN winter days.

Our Story

Imani Bush House is luxury self-catering accommodation. A stunning, private property situated in an indigenous sand forest on Kuleni Game Reserve in South Africa. With plunge pools, a shady breeze and game viewing from the deck, the world stands still while you relax and listen to the birds. If action is what you’re after, the St Lucia wetland area, False Bay, Big 5 game viewing parks and the scuba diving hotspots of Sodwana Bay are all right on your doorstep.

Imani Bush House: Nestled in the trees this stunning decked bush house features a spacious double bedroom, large en-suite with whirlpool bath bath and outdoor shower. A second twin bedroom faces the plunge pool, also en-suite. Both rooms have glass doors that slide completely open to views of the bush and lawn with a charming old tree swing. A small water hole sits a few meters from the property and there is a lovely bird hide just a 100m walk through the forest. Adjacent to the house, The Cabin offers a third cosy en-suite bedroom and braai area.

Silver Sky Chalet: A separate and private unit, Silver Sky is small but mighty. Tucked into the forest approximately 40 meters from Imani Bush House, The Chalet sleeps two people and can be rented separately or together with Imani Bush House. It has a double bed with floor to ceiling glass doors that open fully onto the plunge pool. The bathroom has a bath tub with windows that fold open, a spacious outside shower, a large wardrobe area and a cosy open plan kitchen and lounge with DSTV. We are a premier bird lover’s destination with 120 species viewed in the lodge gardens alone. We have an extensive network of walking trails and because we have no dangerous animals, guests are free to explore these on their own. We are a low risk malaria area.
