Paul doing some finer detailed, informative explanations during a 5min break on one of our morning walks! What a fantastic one it was indeed 😀 We saw a pride of 6 lions and had to dodge several herds and bull elephant on our way back to the lodge 🥵
With the expertise of Paul, we all made it back safely, and in awe of how incredible this particular walk was 🤩

To those that have heard of Mark or know him personally, you will have heard that he recently survived a crocodile attack while on a Trail within the Kruger National Park.

Mark is a very close friend of the Maninghi Lodge Maninghi Lodge and PAW Safaris Team, and he has helped us massively achieve our guiding goals.

He is now out of the hospital but will still need to undergo a lot of therapy before he can get back on his feet and into the bush - the place he calls home.

My love-affair with the natural world began when I was a very little boy, when my parents first took me to the world-renowned Kruger National Park; I’ve been absolutely captivated ever since. In 2014, my passion became my professional career when I established PAW Safaris. With Field Guide Association of South Africa (FGASA), i am an accredited Level 3 Nature Guide, Professional Trails Guide and i've recently qualified as a Mentor for Trails Guide through FGASA, enabling me to pass on my own knowledge and skills to the rising generation of guides.
Through PAW Safaris, we specialize in tailor-made adventures, photographic and wildlife safaris, in the unparalleled wild places of Southern and East Africa. We revel in the endlessly changing vistas, magnificent sunrises and unmatched sunsets of the bush, inhabited by myriads of fascinating animals, birds, insects, flowers and trees. We wake in the fresh quiet of the African morning to the dawn chorus, and sleep peacefully to an orchestra of singing crickets, punctuated by the roaring of lions or the eerie calls of hyena and jackal in the night.

The Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta is a vast inland river delta in the North of Botswana. It is know for its vast plains that flood seasonally. During this wet season the people of the Delta move around the water highways created by the mighty elephants and hippos, in dugout canoes.
Definitely a bucketlist destination.

Fever Tree Forest 🌳

The Fever Tree Forest is found in the North of the Kruger National Park on the Makuleke Concession. These trees can be recognized by its trunk which is an unusual lime green colour and covered with a fine yellow dust.
