Pilanesberg Full Day Tour and Photographic Tour Operator

African Memory is a Small Safari Tours Operator that offers tours to Pilanesberg National Park on a daily basis. We Specialise in Pilanesberg.

African Memory was created in 2013 by me Douglas Carr. I’ve always been adventures and bit of a “nomad” and decided to give up on my day job (wedding photographer) to continue my adventures by 4×4 on dirt roads while camping under the African sky. I’m a professional photographer and qualified field guide with a passion for African hospitality, cuisine, nature and wildlife. My aim is to create and offer Personalised custom made Small Safari Tours to small groups as well as specialised photographic safaris to photographers of all levels.

My thorough understanding of animal behaviour, helps to give photographers the opportunity to take incredible photographs in the best possible light and from the best position. On every safari I help everyone to improve their photography from camera setup, composition, and photo editing skills, starting with your smart phone.

I’ll will be your tour operator, host, guide and personal photo tutor on Personalised Safaris Experience of a life time. Tours are made to suite your needs and budget.

Each of my safari destinations and itineraries will be handcrafted from my first hand experiences, my goals and desires of what the perfect safari/wildlife photographic experience must be like.

I aim for a personal experience and offer safaris to individuals and small groups

I pride myself on the personalised approach – not only making sure you get the best wilderness safari experience, but that you have fun, feel well looked after, and your expectations are exceeded.

So come and join me on a Adventures African Wilderness Safari Experience and experience African hospitality, cuisine, music, art and dance or just sit around the fire at night under the African sky admiring the stars while listening to the the sounds of the bush, hyenas laughing and lions roaring deep into the night.
