At Wild Frontiers our love for travel in Africa continues to grow after 26 years. There have been many changes over the years, and we have adapted to these changes. Travel is now easier than ever, and this means that the number of tour operators has grown substantially. Setting your self apart from the crowd has become extremely important, so here are a few qualities that set us apart: 1) Owner Managed and Operated: Directors John and Debbie Addison still deliver the same enthusiasm to Wild Frontiers as they did 26 years ago. From designing safaris, to leading them, to operating camps and lodges, and to training and employing staff. They offer their wealth of expertise, and continue to grow it, so they can give you the best possible experience on your next adventure through Africa. 2) Learned Experience: Experience itself is not a good teacher, but learned experience is. Founded in 1991, we’ve experienced and learnt a great deal in our 26 years. We’ve experienced all the moving parts that come together when designing a great holiday or safari. We operate and own camps, lodges, vehicles, boats, and employ wonderful staff and guides. With this breadth, and depth, of knowledge and expertise, we are speaking to you from a seasoned position of experience. 3) Creating and Not Just Selling: The safaris we present to you are not from a second party or tour operator. They have been crafted and created by us. Our tailor-made itineraries are based on lived experience and not half-baked, abstract opinions. Our consultants have slept in the beds, eaten the food, met the people and done the activities… all they’re missing is the t-shirt. They’ve experienced what they’re selling you and know what they’re selling you. This means we are able to give you sound advice and suggestions when it comes to designing your dream holiday. 4) Invested in Your Experience and Enjoyment: It would be easy to sell you a tour package from a second party and then say that’s where the buck stops with us. The fact that we run and operate our own camps, lodges, vehicles, boats, and employ our own staff, shows that we are more invested in your experience and enjoyment. Our clients are not sale figures on a spreadsheet, we want you to have adventure after adventure with us. 5) Unique Destinations and Experiences: When it comes to travelling, the same experiences and trips come up a dime a dozen. At Wild Frontiers we want to take you to places less travelled. Unique destinations and experiences that evoke curiosity and pique your interests. We’ve operated trips to destinations such as the Central African Republic, Congo, Libya, Chad and Ethiopia. 6) Taking on New Challenges: Organising a massive event like a marathon would cause many people to lose sleep. As one of the founders and organisers of the Kilimanjaro Marathon and Victoria Falls Marathon we have gained invaluable lessons. This is testament that we take on new challenges and go beyond what we are comfortable and familiar with. 7) Conscious and Responsible Tourism - Our tours are only as good as the countries in which they’re run. We make sure that we give back to the countries in which we operate. A big part of this is employing and supporting local staff and guides. The money from your trip doesn’t just uplift them, but it positively impacts their families and the communities in which they live. If the environments, plants and animals we showcase to you were to disappear tomorrow, so would we. For this reason, we leave behind the smallest ecological footprint possible. We don’t cut corners when it comes to our guests, but we don’t compromise on protecting the environments in which we operate.
