Our Story

Say Yes to New Adventures in Africa because We Are More Than Just Safari’s!

Zulu Nomad is a community built around the African urban millennial lifestyle, spending time outdoors, quality time with our young families, rediscovering our Africanness – and having an awesome life of adventure and travel, and not just #forthegram.

Our African and international travellers are looking for immersive, unique experiences in South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi.

It all started in 2009 with 4 friends driving in a Mazda from Johannesburg to the Lake of the Stars Festival in Malawi. Zimbabwe was going through the toughest time, we could not believe our eyes in Harare, going from shop to shop with nothing on the shelves. As we drove further away from Harare we came across small villages where traders didn’t even want money for their goods but wanted to barter instead. We met the warm hearted people of Malawi for the first time and lost ourselves to the beat of the drum and base on the beaches of Lake Malawi during the festival. Life was never the same.
