Directed by Moritz Mohr, the film centres on Bill Skarsgård’s Boy, who vows revenge after his family is murdered by Hilda Van Der Koy (Famke Janssen), the deranged matriarch of a corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty that left the boy orphaned, deaf and voiceless.
Boy Kills World is an ambitious project that was driven by South African production company, Nthibah Productions, and the film was shot in Cape Town. And they have some exciting big-budget releases coming too!
For now though, you can catch Boy Kills World in cinemas nationwide. See the official trailer and more info in our link below

Joika
IN CINEMAS RIGHT NOW! THE STORY OF MODERN-DAY BALLET ICON, JOY WOMACK
Joika, currently showing at selected cinemas across Johannesburg and Pretoria, follows the life story and career of American ballet dancer Joy Womack. Joy is one of the very few foreign dancers who rose to epic heights in the exclusive Moscow Bolshoi Academy, and it’s refreshing to see a film based on a young dancer who is currently at the peak of her career.
In the film, Joy trains with the goal of becoming a Prima Ballerina at the company under the guidance of her mentor. But beyond the beauty of the ballet world lies immense dedication, pain, competitiveness, and a sacrifice of relationships and potentially her life all in a quest to find out what it truly means to be great.
Joika stars newcomer Talia Ryder alongside Diane Kruger as her mentor. And the real Joy Womack is also involved in the film as the key choreographer for all dance scenes in the movie.

CAT PERSON IS A WILD PSYCHO-THRILLER THAT UNPACKS MODERN DATING & THE GENDER DIVIDE
CAT PERSON IS A WILD PSYCHO-THRILLER THAT UNPACKS MODERN DATING & THE GENDER DIVIDE
Up for something interesting to watch at cinemas? Cat Person opens today at cinemas nationwide and follows the story of Margot, a college student (CODA’s Emilia Jones) who goes on a date with the much older Robert (Nicholas Braun from Succession) and finds that IRL Robert doesn’t quite live up to the guy she has been flirting with over texts.
The film unpacks the gender divide that thrives online, the craziness of navigating modern dating and the dangerous projections we make about the person at the other end of our phones.
Keep an eye out for smaller performances by Hope Davis and the iconic Isabella Rosellini.
