Some of the most precious eyes you could ever hope to stare into.

Picture yourself hiking through the forests and over the mountain sides of Uganda's Bwindi National Park. It's been a few hours; you're starting to get tired, hot and frankly a little close to giving up. Suddenly you along with your group and guides see them moving through the forest thickets. A few minutes later, you're stood face to face with a being that could potentially change the way you see the world forever. Nothing else matters, other than this beautiful creature and this fleeting moment. Who's tired and hot anyway?!

There really is no experience like it.

Taking a moment to survey her surroundings in the midst of the chaos. This lioness was accompanied by 4 large male lions, so you can just imagine how cautious and quick she had to be about her feeding! Generally speaking, male lions can be incredibly aggressive around kills and will often attack and injure each other and other members of the pride during the carnage. This means lioness and cubs need to practice extreme caution in these situations.
