Mtentu Bridge in South Africa 🇿🇦

The Mtentu Bridge is a multi span box girder bridge, currently under construction, spanning the Mtentu River, near Lundini in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.

The Mtentu Bridge forms part of the N2 Wild Coast road (N2WC) project, which aims to improve the travel time between Durban and East London for heavy freight vehicles.

When complete, it would be the highest bridge in Africa at 223 metres and one of the longest main-span balanced cantilever bridge in the world at 260 metres.

The Magnificent Lilongwe 🇲🇼 Bridge is taking shape.

The Lilongwe Bridge which is set for completion next year 2026 is making tremendous progress. With some of the sections already at an advanced level, the bridge- a five lane carriageway, with a two meter cycle way on both sides and pedestrian/sidewalk, four meter wide on both ends.

This is one of the projects the Malawi Government, with grant funding from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is implementing under the improvement of main roads in the city of Lilongwe. Once completed, it is expected to contribute to improving transportation capacity in Lilongwe City and boosting Malawi’s Social-economic growth.
