The Church of the Beatitudes is a church located on the Mount of Beatitudes by the Sea of Galilee near Tabgha and Capernaum in Israel.

The church is located on a small hill overlooking the Sea of Galilee, the traditional "mount" on which Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Mathew 5. The current church sits uphill from the ruins of a small Byzantine-era church dating to the late 4th century, which contains a rock-cut cistern beneath it and the remains of a small monastery to its southeast. Part of the original mosaic floor has also been recovered and is now on display in Capernaum.

The Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish, shortened to the Church of the Multiplication, is a church located at Tabgha, on the northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee in Israel. The modern church rests on the site of two earlier churches. Nearby are seven springs which provide abundant water. In this fruitful garden Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish.
Philip answered quickly that there was not enough money to buy bread for the multitude. Then Andrew, Peter's brother, said, “There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes” (John 6:9).

The Church of the Pater Noster is a Church located on one of the summits of Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. By current Christian tradition it is the site where Jesus taught his disciples “The Lord's Prayer”. The Our Father are represented in over 140 languages
including those that are rarely given exposure outside of their particular linguistic communities. the Crusaders built a small oratory amid the ruins in 1106, and a full church was constructed in 1152, thanks to funds donated by the Danish Bishop Svend of Viborg; who is buried inside the church.

On the west bank of the River Jordan, not far from Jericho, there is the place that commemorates the baptism received by Jesus from John the Baptist. Matthew 3:13-17. The place of the baptism is indicated by the name of Qasr al-Yahud, The rock of the Jews, probably to recall the Israelites when they crossed the river on their arival in the Promised Land with Joshua(Genesis 3).

As expected, and hoped for, and with improving health conditions worldwide and in Israel, the required Corona testing will be terminated at midnight, 20 May 2022, for both pre-flight and after landing in Israel. International pilgrims in Israel will not be required to present any kind of Corona testing either before boarding their flight or after landing in Israel and will only need to complete their entry statement.

Please remember that airlines still require a negative PCR test before boarding their flights and that some countries still require a negative test before allowing entry. Be sure to check with our office before departure.

This timely good news ends the need to stay quarantined for a few hours after landing until the test results arrive and the risk of being required to enter a longer quarantine period in case you tested positive. Thank God, these concerns are now behind us, and travel to Israel, Egypt Jordan, and Turkey have returned to NORMAL! With an increasing volume of visitors continuing to arrive in these countries from many nations every week, Holy Land Pilgrimage will be expanding our marketing to promote the lifting of restrictions.

Tourists cannot travel to Israel individually as of the beginning of August. Plans to re-open the country for visitors have been delayed. Thanks to Israel’s high vaccination rate, life in the country has returned to a situation that is close to normal Israeli citizens.
The current expected timeline for Israel’s re-opening to tourists is as follows:
Currently, tourists as of August 3rd, 2021cannot enter Israel as individuals, unless they are coming to visit a first degree relative. Traveling as part of a small number of closed groups has been postponed after a Covid Delta forth wave.
The re-opening of Israel for individual tourists and groups has been pushed back to an unconfirmed date. Once tourists are allowed to travel to Israel, most Israel package tours and regular tours will resume.
Only Tourists who are fully vaccinated with vaccines approved by the USA or European Union (Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca, Johnson and Johnson) which includes around 45 countries including USA, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, etc will be able to enter Israel with a negative PCR corona test taken before the flight, a vaccination certificate, and a serological test on arrival to Ben Gurion Airport. As of June 16th, 2021, all travellers entering Israel must quarantine for 24h upon arrival in Israel or until a negative test result is received. Before leaving Israel, a PCR is required.
We do not recommend that bookings to travel are made until it is clear what the travel new regulations are.

As Israel, Asia and Europe is gearing up to open its borders for international visitors and groups, your Holy Land Pilgrimage team is now generating ongoing reports highlighting the various entrance rules and regulations which are presently in discussion between the various governmental agencies. With unofficial information floating across the internet, our commitment is to provide you credible and reliable information, as it becomes available to us, so that you can plan wisely.
With consultations between government agencies still ongoing, the situation is very fluid, and no final protocols have been formalized yet. What we can share with you with confidence at this point is as follows:
A limited number of pre-approved groups not requiring a quarantine period will be allowed entrance starting in late May 2021 as part of a trial period. This is a projected starting point that may yet be delayed. Pending the results of this trial period, a larger number of groups will be allowed in as we move into the summer months. A quota of a maximum number of visitors will be established by the health authorities, and all groups will have to be pre-submitted (through our operator) and pre-approved by the relative agencies. At this point (this is not final), all visitors will have to produce:
A vaccination records. A negative PCR tests. Pass a serological test upon entrance to Israel (only visitors arriving from nations NOT having a bilateral agreement with Israel recognizing each other’s vaccination certificates) Possess a valid health insurance policy. Provide contact information (for the remote possibility of an epidemiological inquiry following the trip).
Israel, Asia and Europe presently accept vaccinations recognized by the USA’s FDA and Europe’s EMA.
All groups will be accompanied by pre-authorized guide and driver, keep a detailed record of their movements, and follow careful guidelines. (that our operator will manage and oversee). In the rare possibility of sickness or exposure to a confirmed sick person, quarantine requirements may be applied to the individual or the group, depending on the circumstances. We are grateful that the State of Israel, Egypt and Turkey is taking positive and concrete steps to open its borders to visitors, and we are hopeful that these entrance requirements will relax as we move forward and as the health concerns continue to diminish.
Please be aware that taking the safe vaccine that will become available in South Africa in the next few weeks will only advance our chances to resume international travel. However Holy Land Pilgrimage will responsibly, only commit to resume tours when there is more evidence of immunity, not just relying on the acquisition of the vaccines.
