Our Story

Our aim is to spread the excitement of outdoor adventure, whether just down the street or across the globe, by inspiring people to discover, explore and share their favorite activities and playgrounds. Hiking gives you the ability to see and explore parts of our country or the world that no other mode of transport is able to take you. If you want to be on top of Drakensberg or Kilimanjaro you have to WALK to it.

There’s this misconception that “the best views, the best sunsets, sunrises, the best nature experiences and outdoor connections are only displayed on an HD screen or when guided around an exotic island by a really expensive tour guide”. This being directly equivalent to “the most meaningful lessons one can ever learn only take place in the classroom”. This has made us wonder and strive to prove both these theories as false by attaining everything they could ever offer and more, with less expenses, less confinements and getting people to completely deviate from their norm, escaping their comfort zones, achieve their health goals and elevating their mental health. Epic Hikes was born from the passion for the outdoors and adventure of exploring them. We really want to spread love for nature and make people realize that the great outdoors are more than a hobby but a culture: a culture that values adventure and the beauty found in the wildest parts of the earth.
