Hunting show postponed to October 2021 amidst third wave concerns

The agreement reached between SAPS and HuntEx on 20 May 2021 regarding Covid 19 restrictions, has been greeted with much satisfaction and joy by all concerned. Small businesses that have been prevented from selling their goods on these platforms for more than a year, can now look forward to doing business again.

The agreement, which has been made an order of the High Court, allows HuntEx to do business like any shopping centre, and gave hope to the entire exhibition industry that has been forced into irrational dormancy.

However, the organisers have been requested by a substantial number of exhibitors to take into consideration their concerns about the increase in coronavirus cases in Gauteng and elsewhere.

“After discussing it with many exhibitors and other stakeholders, we have agreed not to stage HuntEx2021 in June but to postpone it to 1-3 October 2021. This decision allows the majority of exhibitors to participate, as the third wave fears will hopefully be a thing of the past,” said Adriaan Woudstra, organiser of HuntEx.
