“This is Circa 2018 at Soweto Wine Festival in Pimville.

Back when I avoided wine shows at all costs, and used to let my distributor (Clive) do them. To say I miss them now in this depression of Covid is an understatement.

This is also when I started to realize that my wines were a hit.

Next to me, in my Japanese friend’s glass is an orange Muscat 2017 from organic grapes I picked in Sir Lowrys Pass with Snakes(the vineyard has now been uprooted 😢). My friend had travelled all the way from Okinawa to JHB to taste some Magna Carta.

Also where is Sharon Cooper? She’s the only person who’s ever convinced me to do x2 wine exhibitions, one even falling on New Years Eve.

- Side note - Also miss wearing flannel shirts, are they still en vogue?”
