A stately residence set high above the Atlantic Ocean, Ellerman House offers exquisite accommodation and exceptional service for Cape Town’s most discerning visitors. Located in Bantry Bay, the small, privately owned hotel offers spectacular Atlantic Ocean views against the dramatic backdrop of Lion’s Head. Clifton’s sheltered beaches are within walking distance, while local attractions such as the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, Camps Bay, and V&A Waterfront are 10 minutes by car.

Magical Machaba!
There is nothing more exciting than the thrilling experience of visiting Botswana... and this time it exceeded all expectations.
One always see pictures of lodges online but never really know how it looks like or what to expect until you've arrived, and boy oh boy what a marvelous surprise. The enchanting Machaba exceeded all expectations, a little gem of a camp taking you back to the 1950's, not forgetting the romantic outdoor showers.
The family friendly Machaba Camp is situated in the game rich Big 5 Khwai area. The Khwai Concession is a 35 000 hectare reserve situated in the north eastern Okavango adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. The name Machaba is the local Setswana name for the Sycamore Fig Tree, the tree of life.
We opted for the luxurious family tent and was super impressed by the decor and the large space, not to mention the views! I could honestly sit on our veranda the whole day with my binoculars spotting animals in the river in front of us like hippo, elephant and all the other game whom came down for a drink of water. All 10 luxury tents are situated in the beautiful riverine treeline on the Khwai River, overlooking the famous Moremi Game Reserve. From these tented verandas one can watch the daily parade of animals coming down to drink at the river in front of camp.
The dining experience was out of this world, served under the open sky's with the stars shining bright like crystals above you, whilst listening to the far call of a jackal or hyena. The food served at camp is a wonderful mixture of local cuisine flavoured and cooked in good old fashion home style cooking.
The game drives was action packed and our guide super knowledgeable.
I've lost my heart at Machaba and will most definitely back...soon.
