MORE THAN JUST A SAFARI Conservation Awareness through the Lens and promoting conservation through safari have become the philosophy and purpose behind Captured In Africa. Captured In Africa endorses and supports various conservation initiatives, organisations and projects, working with them to aid their conservation efforts, create awareness and raise much needed funding for continuing research, action and community support. We do this by physically and directly liaising with these organisations, whose efforts on-the-ground go towards protecting, rescuing and providing safe homes and areas of land for threatened wildlife. #SAVEBIGCATS Our mission is simple; to not only educate about the plight and continued endangered & threatened status surrounding all big cat species, but to actively work and advocate to ensure more is done to #savebigcats
Captured In Africa believe in ethical and genuine wildlife travel, therefore we have a stringent criteria for where we will allow our guests to travel. Our policy is to avoid sending travellers to projects offering hands-on wildlife encounters, in particular lion & big cat cub petting, walking with lions experiences and elephant rides amongst others; instead sending travellers to genuine wild areas and places where wildlife is free from human pressures. … “we want our guests to be safe in the knowledge that the wildlife they see, is protected and safe from any threat placed upon them.
