About the Accommodation
The elevated 15 tents constructed in canvas on a wooden deck are furnished in a classic luxurious style with an en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower. The camp is child friendly with kids’ activities including full game drives (over 6 years) and junior bush walks.
There are 15 tents, that consists of the following:
11 x standard tents (Tents feature 1 double or twin and a day bed that can accommodate a child)
2 x family tents, and
2 x two newly built family deluxe tents.
These are set amidst the lush greenery of the reserve keeping you within personal touch of the environment while you experience the tented safari lifestyle. Each tent is positioned with maximum viewing potential from your private terrace as the animals roam freely.
Features include:
Fan, Mosquito net, Terrace/balcony (private), reading material, bottled water and homely comforts.
Meals
At both camps it’s a communal affair, usually served outdoors at a long table, with log fires and torches to create a really authentic bush feel. Simple homemade dishes, using predominantly local produce, are plentiful and exquisitely presented. N.B. Special arrangements can be made for in-room dining or a private bush dinner.
Activities
Ranger Camp offers guests’ game drives in new open game viewing vehicles in the early morning and late afternoon/evening Late afternoon and evening drives include sunset drinks, with views of the breath-taking Yellowwood Gorge where the road twists down the escarpment between cliffs, waterfalls and forests…
