Our company has existed for the past (22) twenty years and was first established in early 1995 and is a lifelong self-sustained business. Management consists of healthy private business ethics which translates into a professional service for our clients. The control and responsibilities of the business are conducted by Mr. Pieter Rudolph and Mr. Henco Krause, who are the sole owners of the company, and both of whom carry diverse fields of knowledge, expertise and characteristics. Due to, among other factors, working experience with Air-O-Car’s competitors, namely Platinum Parking and Mr Parking, a great love of cars was developed in addition to an extensive knowledge of the industry, its clients, as well as vast operational knowledge. Due to Mrs Pugh’s deteriorating health she made the decision to sell her business concern to Mr Rudolph and Mr Krause since she was aware of their passion and energy for the industry, she believed that they would make a success of the business and take it to the next level. Mrs Pugh was known to be a very successful entrepreneur in various fields, a wealth of knowledge she carried over to Air-O-Car and we are proud to say that the company still rests on the foundations of these principles and knowledge today.
We are a duly registered company with CIPRO/CIPC and is VAT Registered with SARS. We are also a registered member of the South African National Airport Parking Association (SANAPA), The Ekurhuleni Business Initiative (EBI) and Proudly South African.
We offer an exclusive service which provides safe and secure undercover parking for travellers who are travelling from OR Tambo International Airport, Park Station, Pretoria Station, nearby hotels, by local bus services etc. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is geared towards travellers who are flying for business or personal purposes.
In additon to our team collecting or client’s vehicle from their specific departure point, our clients further have the option of personally delivering their vehicle directly to our facility. In this instance we will gladly receive and welcome them and thereafter they are shuttled to there specific departure terminal building in our company shuttle vehicle. In this way they are guaranteed that their vehicle is safe and secure and can then travel with peace of mind. Air-O-Car offers a simple and user-friendly booking process which affords more than one option in the form of email, telephone, online, by Whatsapp, sms, social media platforms as well as a fully digitized cellphone application which is currently in the process of being developed.

THE MANAGEMENT
PIETER RUDOLPH
Mr Pieter Rudolph is an admitted attorney who obtained his LLB degree at former Rand Afrikaans University, as well as a number of further qualifications in the legal field through the University of Pretoria, and having successfully completed all of his admission exams through the Law Society of the Northern Provinces. He was finally elected to oversee and grade the examinations of first year law students at UNISA. In addition to this he is an accomplished musician, being proficient in both the piano and pipe organ and at times is requested to play at church events such as funerals, and at times weddings and so forth.
HENCO KRAUSE
Mr Henco Krause began his employ with the Cash Cruisaders group in Pretoria as a Sales Executive and worked his way up to the position of branch manager. Having the goal of opening his own branch within the franchise in which he gained a large amount of experience and knowledge, regarding the function of a business. In a retail environment, in sales, retail, customer liaison, stock management as well as the financial aspects and staffing solutions. This knowledge and expertise he has brought with him into the ownership of Air-O-Car and continued to expand upon and improve.
IDA ENSLIN
Also known as the Iron Lady of Air-O-Car, she is first and foremost the company’s bookkeeper. However, in addition to this she handles the public relations aspect of the business, whether it comes to customer complaints as well as requests Ida is always there to assist where needed.
In addition, she manages the company staff whether it be the requirement of a reprimand, or encouragement. She is the shoulder to cry on at times, and the person who is always available to offer assistance when and where it may be needed.
Further to her work with the company Ida is a successful chicken farmer and supplies to a large number of private individuals in and around our immediate area.
And finally, she is a talented baker who bakes cakes and other confectionary for all occasions where requested.
STAFF
STACI KNIGHT
Staci fulfills a number of roles within the company, she is first of all our receptionist as well as office administrator. When making a booking via our office line or email address it is most likely that she will be the person to process and finalize the client’s booking.
In addition, she is Mr Rudolph’s Personal Assistant, and assists him in the aspects of his law practice, from the typing of legal documents to letters, including the management of his client’s files as well as the booking of his appointments for consultation and all other aspects of assistance that Pieter may require.
In addition to her work function for Air-O-Car Staci further holds a qualification as a Junior Conveyancing Secretary which she obtained through the Pretoria Attorney’s Association in 2003. She is also a talented and accomplished photographer having completed her qualification through the Digital School of Photography in 2012 as well as being a talented graphic artist and owns a successful photography and graphic design business of her own. These aspects she brings with her into her secondary function for the company, as she manages the company’s page, LinkedIn account and has firsthand handling of the company’s visual aspects in relation to marketing.
DRIVERS
When it comes to the hiring of our drivers our highest priority is the safety and security of our client’s vehicles not to mention allowing our clients the ability to be able to travel with peace of mind in the knowledge that their vehicle is well looked after and safe in our care.
It is for this reason that in order to gain employment with our company our drivers must meet certain non-negotiable requirements:
· They must be over the age of 25 years old
· They must hold a valid driver’s license for no less than 5 years (this is verified by management before employment is offered)
· They must hold a PDP (Public Driver’s Permit)
· All credit and criminal checks must return to us as clear.
This is in keeping with world class service which we pride ourselves on offering to our clients and offering only the best in our staff members.
Our drivers operate in shifts which alternate per week, our first shift begins at 04:00am (or with the very first collection) and ends at 14:00pm our second shift begins at 13:00pm and ends at 22:30pm (or with the last delivery for the evening).
Our drivers are given ongoing training, motivation and consultation in order to improve and add to their skills as well as their contribution to the company and to our clients.
DANIEL MPEKO
Originally from the Orange Free State, Daniel is our Operations Manager and has been in the employ of Air-O-Car in excess of 5 years. Daniel, manages the planning of the collection and delivery of the vehicles, his duties are to manage the daily schedule and ensure that the daily operation on the ground at the Airport runs smoothly.
He can proudly boast a perfect driving record, having never been involved a collision of any kind. He is trustworthy, honest and amongst our most capable and reliable drivers.
THEMBA MOTLOUNG
Themba holds the position of our first shift supervisor. He has been with the company in excess of 4 years and is also one of our most trustworthy and reliable drivers. His function is to manage and see to the smooth running of the operation as it relates to the drivers under his shift and to ensure the efficient collection and delivery of vehicles.
JOSEPH BALOYI
Joseph is our second shift supervisor. He has been with the company a total of 4 years and as well as being competent and efficient in his position, manages his shift effectively. His duties mirror those of Themba’s in the management and supervision of the drivers given to his shift. In ensuring the efficiency of the operation on the ground and the collection and delivery of vehicles.
WHY CHOOSE AIR-O-CAR

And, as we are sure it is no secret, for a traveller to store their vehicle for any period of time within the Airport itself can prove to be excessively costly. TAILORMADE PARKING SOLUTIONS
Our company offers three different options when it comes to the storage of our client’s vehicle
SHORT TERM PARKING
Short Term Parking consists of a duration of anything from half an hour to a day or longer not exceeding 10 days. These rates are calculated on a sliding scale according to each calendar day consecutively.
LONG TERM PARKING
Long term parking consists of a duration of longer than 10 days consecutively or annually but falls within the same year. These rates are calculated at 3 pricing structures which consist of 10 – 14 days, 15 – 30 days and R 30 is per day exceeded the 30 day special rate.
POOL CARS / FLEET VEHICLES
These are vehicles which are stored at our facility on a permanent or semi-permanent basis. This option is made use of mostly by corporate enterprises and individuals, a number of whom are not permanently based in Johannesburg but travel to Johannesburg for business and, at times, personal reasons.
A number of these corporate enterprises store more than one vehicle at our facility which are made available to individuals of the enterprise who are travelling to Johannesburg and require the use of the organization’s vehicle for the duration of their stay.
Finally, a number of our pool cars / fleet vehicles are owned by clients who do not store their vehicles permanently at our facility but do pay the same monthly rate for the same service.
The fees for this service are charged at a set monthly rate and the vehicles which are permanently stored are made available at any time that the client requires it as well as the same for those who are not permanently stored.
CONVENIENCE
Our standard operating procedure dictates that we operate from a central point at Terminal B Domestic Departures. However, upon collection of the client’s vehicle we will make a point of meeting the client at whichever point he so wishes. Upon the client’s return all vehicles are delivered to one central point at Terminal B departures.
On the day of the traveller’s departure our representative will meet the client at the relevant drop off zone in order to collect the vehicle. The vehicle is thoroughly inspected on collection before leaving the airport. All damage, valuables, mileage as well as fuel is noted on the Air-O-Car Airport Parking Confirmation sheet.
The vehicle is then driven by road to our facility, which is situated in a nearby suburb and securely parked until the day of delivery.
Upon the day of delivery, the vehicle is moved into the wash bay to be vacuumed and cleaned and then at the time of the flight’s scheduled arrival the vehicle is returned by the same route back to the Airport to await the client’s arrival.
Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport our drivers/representatives can be found awaiting the client’s arrival at the Domestic Terminal.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Upon collection of the client’s vehicle the vehicle is thoroughly inspected and noted on the client’s booking form. Such things as damages are noted as well as mileage and fuel on collection. The same procedure is repeated before the vehicle leaves our facility to be delivered back to the client.
The purpose of this is to ensure that the client’s vehicle is returned to them in the same condition that it was handed into our care.
Our facility contains the following security measures in order to ensure the safety and security of all of the vehicles within our care”
· Remote controlled access gate
· Electric perimeter fence which is linked to a local armed reaction company
· Perimeter beams which are linked to an alarm system as well as a local armed reaction company
· The facility is never left vacant, during the day staff members occupy the facility from drivers to office staff as well as on weekends. At night, the owner’s residence is situated on the premises.
EXTRA SERVICES
As a company we believe in going the extra mile to ensure world class customer service and value for money, and in this light we offer a number of extra service in order to go out of our way to assist our clients in which ever way we are able to
VEHICLE REPAIR
· If during the period that the vehicle is within our care and we perceive that the vehicle has a minor problem which can be easily repaired with little or no cost, (for example a flat tyre) - we will gladly assist in this repair without charge; however, should it be a larger problem to repair which requires professional attention, but does not affect the immediate running of the car (for example the exhaust) we will issue a written report to the owner and suggest that the problem be addressed as soon as possible. Should it be unsafe to drive or we feel that an imminent breakdown may occur possibly with the client en route home, we will do anything in our power to make contact with the owner to obtain their authorization to have the problem seen to and repaired as quickly as possible. Failing this we will repair the fault and recover reimbursement at a later stage from the client.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE OF VEHICLES
· Should the client have any special requests for example, requiring the vehicle to be taken for a service, or panelbeating or to be delivered to a separate location, this can and will be arranged
RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS
· No assistance to our clients is too big or too small for example, in Mr Le Roux’s case placing the new license on his vehicle, and Ms Woller’s case placing an air freshener refill kit inside her vehicle for her. We have even been known to deposit a cheque for our clients as in Mr Dorsi case. In a larger case we assisted Mrs Patterson in the collection of a dear friend of hers who had fallen ill with a heart attack in order to transport him from an area near the Kruger National Park to a nearby hospital and at the same time collecting his vehicle for storage at our facility.
· We are further happy to assist our clients who have perhaps travelled a far distance in regard to enquiries for accommodation facilities near the airport.
· In cases where clients have chosen to sleep over at accommodation facilities near the airport we are happy to assist in collecting their vehicle from this location.
