Greetings my esteemed Zimbabwean Special Permit holders,

The government of South Africa has decided that there will be no more extension of your permits. However, a grace period of 12 months has been granted to allow you change to any other temporary residence visa that will be appropriate for your status.

Hi Everyone,

I trust you are having a fabulous season, seeing that you are kept and preserved by the grace of God alone.

As promised to be updating you here, the minister of South African department home affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, has released a statement that the submission of permanent residence (PR) applications will once again resume partially on the 1st October 2021.

Starting with appeals of permanent residence and proof of PR applications on the aforementioned date; then these will be followed by fresh submission of permanent residence applications in January 2022.

As you are planning, kindly note that foreign police character clearance (PC) from all countries you have lived since you turned 18 are mandatory and most of them have 6 months validity, prior to the time of PR application. However, you are not required to apply for South African PC on your own. VFS takes care of that!

It is worthwhile to remember that these three categories of applications were suspended since 27th March 2020 when Covid-19 lockdown began in South Africa.

Always contact our offices for immigration applications in South Africa. We will never mislead or cause your documents to be blacklisted!
