DOG-FRIENDLY BEACHES

The Greater Knysna area is renowned for its stunning landscapes, we strive to maintain harmony between our shared natural spaces and the joy of having our furry friends with us. To ensure this balance, we would like to bring to your attention some guidelines regarding dog walking on our beaches.

Please note that between 09:00 and 18:00, dogs are not permitted on Buffalo Bay and Brenton-On-Sea beaches. However, we understand the special bond between you and your pets, and that's why there are designated pet-friendly zones. In Brenton-on-Sea, these are located 300 meters West of the second lifesaving flag, and in Buffalo Bay, they are situated East of the last beach residence. Access routes to these areas are open only before 09:00 or after 18:00.

For Myoli Beach in Sedgefield, there are time restrictions in place by SANParks. You're welcome to walk your dogs before 9:00 or after 17:00 during the season.

We are proud of this natural heritage and are delighted to welcome all our visitors.

We have two dog-friendly beaches with no time restrictions:
- Sedgefield: Cola Beach.
- Noetzie Beach

To preserve the serenity of our shores, we kindly request that dogs be under your control, and leashed, to avoid disturbing birds and fellow beachgoers. Let's keep our beaches clean by cleaning up after our furry friends and disposing of p**p bags in the provided bins.
