Knysna Municipality urges all residents and visitors to abide by the relevant by-laws and note that the discharging of fireworks within Greater Knysna is prohibited. In terms of Council by-laws, it is illegal.

Setting off firecrackers is dangerous to both humans and animals.
Any person using or vendor found selling fireworks will be prosecuted to the full length of the law.

Report the setting off of fireworks or the trade of fireworks to our Emergency Services: 044 302 8911.
