Winter in the Garden Route 🥰
Took this picture a few years back during the Knysna Oyster Festival. It's unbelievable how beautiful winter can be in Knysna.
This year, the Knysna Oyster Festival will take place from 21 June to 30 June.
The central hub is the Knysna High School Fields and will be the finish for most of the running and the cycling events.
There is also an Oyster Alley this year with some cool stalls, a massive beer tent with a vibe, which includes live music performances , a kids' fun fair, an oyster cook off, and more.
Other parts of town, such as central Knysna, will include activities such as Sip and Paint, art displays, kids' art, and other cool stuff.
Thesen Island will be another hub for art and crafts, plus oyster hotspots and dinners with music, oyster cruises!!
Don't exclude the Knysna industrial area!! This is Beer, Gin, and honey liquor tasting paradise. @34.waenhout boasts with really cool events such as with his "healing" ceremony, burger building, live music, and Kids Jam.
Just out of town, Sedgefield will host a slow food and wine festival on the 26th of June , as well as the show on the 23rd of June.
Other activities in and around Knysna include this year's Knysna Fine Wine Festival at Simola, Fun Runs, rock pools exploring with Sanparks guides, livpadel games, snorkelling expeditions, and a potjie competition in Hornlee
