Kortliks:

1. Die baie groot deining wat tans instoot piek deur Saterdag --- Sondag.

2. Hierdie piek loop saam met SPRINGGETY = seevlakhoogtes en risiko word verhoog.

⚠️🚩 3. Ons werk met die hoogste en kragtigste deining van die jaar wat direk die suidelike kus teiken en ietwat "sagter" (maar steeds kragtig en baie gevaarlik) wes en oos omvou.

4. Hierdie is 'n lewensgevaarlike see met beduidende vernietiging-potensiaal.

5. Ons smelt twee oseaanmodelle saam wat 'n deining van 7 tot 9+ meter aanbied, met 'n periode* van 12 tot 17 sekondes tydens die piekperiode.

Dit kyk na "beduidende golfhoogte", wat die gemiddelde golfhoogte van die hoogste derde van die golwe is.

Maksimum golfhoogte sal aansienlik hoër wees.

6. Ons werk ook met 'n baie direkte suidelike instoothoek van tussen 220° tot 210° = hierdie is 'n hoë-risko instoothoek veral vir die suidelike kus.

* Periode is die tyd-afstand (in sekondes) tussen opeenvolgende branders en is 'n aanwyser van absolute krag. Verwoestingskrag hang af van die verhouding tussen deininghoogte en periode, gekoppel aan invalshoek.

This is our story for the new day+.

Briefly:

1. The very large swell that currently pushes in peaks through Saturday --- Sunday.

2. This peak coincides with SPRING TIDE = increased sea level height and risk.

⚠️🚩 3. We deal with the highest and most powerful swell of the year that targets the southern coast directly and wraps somewhat "softer" (but still powerful and very dangerously) west and east.

4. This is a life-threatening sea with significant destruction potential.

5. We combine two ocean models, offering a swell of 7 to 9+ metres, with a period** of 12 to 17 seconds during the peak period.

This looks at "significant wave height", which is generally the mean wave height of the highest third of the waves.

Maximum wave height will be significantly higher.

# the highest 10 % of waves is 30 % (1.3 times) higher than the significant wave height

# maximum wave height may even get close to double the significant height

6. We also deal with a very direct southerly entry angle of between 220° to 210° = this is a high-risk angle especially for the southern coast.

⚠️ Stay away from rocks.

⚠️ Rogue waves take you when you least expect it. To be blunt, you can drown.

⚠️ This sea is DEADLY.

🚫 The ocean is really dangerous and remains dangerous over several days.

** Period is the time distance (in seconds) between consecutive waves and is an indicator of absolute power. Destructive power depends on the ratio of swell height to period, along with incoming angle.
