No matter what your favorite animal is to see during your stay at #pataptahouse in #marlothpark, you have to admit that warthogs are a delight! For instance, this little one stopped by for a drink and a quick swim, and it's hard to not smile at his antics :-) You may have noticed during some of their visits, that they also like to roll in mud. This may help keep them cool for a while, but more importantly, the mud suffocates parasites as it dries. The dead parasites are then rubbed off with the dried mud against a rock or a tree, leaving the warthog as gorgeous (and pest-free) as nature intended 😆.
