About us
With 21 years of experience and 19 years serving as a head guide in the Kruger National Park, Irving Knight and his wife, Anadia, embarked on a journey where Irving can share his experience, skills and knowledge of the Kruger National Park, its wildlife and conservation with the world out there in his own private guided safaris. His passion for the Kruger National Park is distinctive and his knowledge of its geology, wildlife, birdlife and history is something to point out. Thousands of tourists have memorable experiences with Irving on both walking as well as driving safaris. Not only did he serve as a guide, but also as a mentor to countless hopeful students who became award winning guides in their own right. He was also part in the anti-poaching battle that is fought everyday against rhino poaching.
He was born and grew up in the African bush and his interest in this started when he was a young boy aged 7, when their neighbour had to track down a male lion that caused havoc on the game farm which is known today as the Kapama + Thornybush area. Barefoot, the little boy went with the farmer and his tracker, a Shangaan man, tracking down the lion. When they found it, a vet was called to handle the situation. Today, Irving is known as the lion man between colleagues, because once he spots a lion track on foot, he becomes like a bloodhound and will not give up until he finds it to great delight of tourists going on a walking safari with him.
Irving and his carefully selected guides have a combined experience of more than 50 years, serving as field guides, trails guides and training mentors for Sanparks, concessions and the private sector.
