A heart-warming morning surprise! The cubs came out to have a drink and play around with mom watching from the shade of a tree. This confirms why mom was carrying the heavy zebra carcass around!

Raw power and the circle of life in action 🦁 After witnessing the kill we then saw the lioness drag her prey across the river, disappearing into the wild—perhaps to feed her hidden cubs. Nature's mysteries unfold in the Southern Kruger.

Today we witnessed a beautiful lioness take down a zebra right across from the lodge! The zebra did put up a fight but the lioness got her way in the end.

'A big thank you to Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge for the sponsored two night stay as third prize in the Kruger Magazine Amateur Photo Competition – Autumn 2024.
Also, a thank you to Kruger Magazine and Promoter, MLP Media for the competition.

We started our ten-day Kruger visit with two wonderful nights as guests at CBSL.
What a truly magnificent Lodge, a true piece of paradise, located a few hundred meters from the Crocodile Bridge gate. It will be on my list of places to stay on our next visit to Kruger.

We were warmly welcomed by hosts Natassia and Geyser and departed under the care of hosts Ilsa and Bruce. Thank you for your friendliness and hospitality. Your staff is also to be commended on their friendliness and efficiency.
The food was great, with the communal dining area resulting in interesting discussions with tourists from various parts of the world.

Overlooking the Crocodile River, it is certainly an excellent getaway, with a continuous flow of game coming down to drink and ending the day watching the sunset from the relaxed comfort of our accommodation deck.
On our last morning, we had a Cheetah entertain us with a drink in the river, followed by a failed hunt.'

Yesterday, we took the time to say goodbye to Bruce & Ilse. You are both true legends whose absence will be felt deeply. Thank you for all the funny stories, delicious recipes and good memories! We know that the team and our guests will miss you.
