The house has a spacious flow over 3 levels and contains 2 double bedrooms and full en-suite bathrooms. Furthermore there are 2 large bedrooms with respectively 6 and 4 single beds sharing a full family bathroom and a separate toilet.

All the bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling built-in-cupboards and large windows to enjoy the fresh sea breeze and those beautiful Kwazulu Natal South Coast views.
The large living area is open plan and includes a fully equipped kitchen with pantry, 2 fridges, all basic kitchen appliances, cutlery, crockery and glasses enough to feed an army. The kitchen is finished with granite tops and a breakfast counter with bar stools. The open plan living area also encompasses a comfy lounge with flat screen tv and full DSTV bouquet and a 10-seater dining room table and serving buffet. The open plan living area flows out to the balcony where you will find a built-in-braai and some outdoor furniture to enjoy those magnificent Ramsgate sunsets and perhaps catch a glimpse of a school of Dolphins or Whales passing by. Direct beach access is acquired via the front garden’s sloped lawn and a short walk alongside the Ramsgate tidal pool. An outside shower is available after a day of sand, surf and fun in the sun. Secure parking off-street in double garage with parking bay behind lockable steel sliding gates for an additional 2 vehicles.

A brand new addition to the popular seafront home is “The Cottage @ Hubbly Bubbly” on the ground floor recently incorporated into “Hubbly Bubbly” to make it one of the largest holiday rental homes on the Kwa-Zulu Natal South Coast.

The cottage has a large open plan lounge with flat screen TV and full DSTV bouquet. The lounge flows to the fully equipped kitchen with breakfast counter.

There are 3 bedrooms - the main bedroom sleeps 4 with a double bed as well as a bunk bed.

The second bedroom also has a bunk bed – sleeping 2 people and the third bedroom has 2 single beds sleeping another 2 people comfortably.

There is a full bathroom with shower in bath and a basin, 2 separate toilets and a separate shower room.

All of the rooms (except for bedroom 2 and the bathroom) are sea facing.

The cottage also has a braai in the garden overlooking the breakers. A large open veranda leads onto the large garden and sloping lawn from where you will find the foot path to the private beach and tidal pool (within only 50m). Secure off-street parking behind sliding lockable gates are provided for up to 2 vehicles. 2x 5000l water tanks have been installed to avert any water interruption.

Trelawney Cottages offer comfortable self-catering accommodation in a small complex in the idyllic village of Leisure Bay, situated 900 m from a beautiful swimming beach.

Accommodation is offered in 3 individual cottages equipped for self-catering. 2 cottages accommodate 8 guests, and 1 cottage accommodates 6 guests. Each cottage comprises a kitchen equipped with a fridge, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, and an oven and stove, a dining area, a lounge area, and an outdoor patio with a braai area. Guests have access to a communal swimming pool situated between the 3 cottages. The cottages are serviced every day and all bed linen and bath towels are provided. Each cottage is equipped with a TV, and guests are required to bring their own DStv decoder and smart card if they wish to access DStv. The ultimate luxury beach getaway. The Aloe House (sleeps 8) is a beautiful home, designed for relaxation and fun. The interior is effortlessly elegant and light. Enjoy spectacular sea views with your champagne breakfast and then stroll down to the beach (300 meters) for a swim.

One of the special features of The Aloe House is the fantastic outdoor entertainment space. It includes a portable gas braai, food "prep" area, fridge, 8-seater table and swimming pool, surrounded by a lush tropical garden. The concept of great entertainment is also reflected indoors. The dining room and lounge lead on to a large viewing deck and the open plan kitchen allows you to be a "celebrity chef" while gazing at the horizon.

Nature Reserves and Birding

Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve
This is one of KwaZulu-Natal's most spectacular natural settings; the scenic port Shepstone. Ideal for day-excursions, Oribi offers many delightful walks and self-guided trails to scenic spots in the reserve. There are numerous idyllic picnic spots on the banks of the river. Wildlife includes leopard, baboon, small antelope and a prolific bird life (The bird list numbers 250 with five kingfisher and seven eagle species).

Mpenjati Nature Reserve
This lush little coastal reserve is less than 10 minutes drive north from Leisure Bay. The 60 hectare reserve comprises a system of interlinking wetlands, grasslands and dune forests. The most popular activities are birding, fishing, swimming, and hiking. Two picnic sites on each bank of the Mpenjati River have barbecue facilities, ablution blocks, and a children's playground.

Adventure Fun
The Wild Five at Oribi Gorge should not be missed. Wild Gorge Swing - is the highest swing in the world. You step off the Lehrs waterfall into the depths of the gorge. Wild water rafting - relaxed paddle or rapids on the mighty Umzimkhulu. Wild Abseiling - currently the highest natural commercial abseil in the world at 110 meters. Port Edward Accommodation, South Coast KZN
Port Edward:
This is a lovely sea-side holiday resort all year round. At The Lighthouse Inn is situated right on the beach, very peaceful and calm atmosphere. A fishing permit is required when fishing off the rocks or out at sea. These are obtainable at the post office.

The View:
The View from @ The Lighthouse Inn is incredible. Because we are situated right on the beach, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the ocean. Dolphins and Whales seem so close, that you feel like you can almost reach out and touch them, while watching the waves breaking on the shore sets the mood for absolute relaxation and tranquillity.

In the office:
A First Aid Kit is available, emergency numbers and numerous brochures to suite everybody. "Lots to see and plenty of exciting things to do".

Parking:
The area is fenced, however, please note we have no covered parking yet, and all the vehicles are left at your own risk.

This place is secure with a listed and reliable GP Security Firm. All 6 flats are alarmed with emergency panic buttons.

Self Catering Units:
Each Unit is self-catering with a Fridge, Microwave, 2 Plate Stove, Cutlery, Crockery and Bath Towels. Commercial Open View Channels are available which includes all the Mnet movie channels and all the Sport channels. Each unit has its own braai are except unit 5. A weber is available on request or the front braai in the garden can be used.

A rock feature swimming pool is reserved for guests use in the front garden, (no pool net or fence at present) It is advised that children must be watched by an adult at all times, PLEASE use paper cups etc around the pool. Children just love the swings in the garden, and so do many of the parents as well, feeling stress free swinging and watching the waves pounding on the rocks and the beach right in front of you. Two braais in front at the pool looking out to the sea for guests to use.

The units are serviced on a daily basis, except for Sundays and public holidays

Please report any loss, breakages and damages to the units and their contents to management immediately. Any other problems with your unit let us know so it can be attended to.

The property is in walking distance to all amenities. Close to the Lighthouse from whence we get our name. Main swimming beach within walking distance, you can walk along the beach on the Aloe Trail from a gate leading from our garden. Sip away at cocktails while watching the whales and dolphins play. Wild Coast Casino 5 km away.

Direct access from the Garden gate and pathway leading down to a private beach. Very safe and peaceful. 1 meter from the gate to the beach is JB’s Corner, a must to visit constructed in memory of my late husband as he loved to watch the dolphins and the whales playing in the waves. Great place to sip your morning coffee and watch the sunrise and the waves breaking onto the rocks. Or to sip away at cocktails and enjoy the beautiful view of the coastline and our private beach.

Leave the remotes in the envelope, and be sure to put your banking details on the bottom of the checklist, so that we can refund your breakage deposit within 7 working days.

Baby Blue is a Norwegian Lifeboat that got converted into a Houseboat. She used to sail the seven seas on a ship from Valleta on an island called Malta from Italy. There is only one of her kind. She sleeps in the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve on the Mtamvuna river bordering the Eastern Cape and Kwazulu Natal.
Rooms
She offers a King Size bed in the bow with a down duvet and extra blanket for comfort, including a Bamboo High Density foam mattress to ensure extra comfort during your stay.

Big Fish Seaside Cottage is a double-storey self-catering house ideally located in Leisure Bay just 5 minutes’ walk from the beach and offers a great view from the upstairs balcony to Port Edward with sea views. The house is about 8 km from Port Edward so there is easy access to the Spar for your groceries. Go on a bit further and cross the Mtamvuna River and you are at the Wild Coast Sun where you can enjoy a game of golf.

The house can accommodate up to 10 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms upstairs, and downstairs there are 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The first, third and fourth bedrooms each contain a queen-size bed, and the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. The first bathroom contains a bath and a shower, a toilet, and a washbasin. The second bathroom contains a shower, a toilet, and a washbasin. There is an additional guest toilet.

We provide bath and swimming towels. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with 2 fridge-freezers, a stove and oven, microwave, kettle and a washing machine and dish washer and coffee machine, there is also a tumble dryer in the scullery. 1 bedroom off the living room. The lounge has ample seating and DStv. There is an Inverter for the TV and DSTV. Both the lounge and bedroom on the lower level are airconditioned.

The Belle Cottage

The Belle Cottage is a private family holiday home situated in Leisure Bay on the KZN south coast. This home is ideally situated directly in front of Kidds beach (10 steps from the garden to the beach). Kidds Beach has beautiful unspoilt indigenous dunes forming the backdrop to the beach and has rock pools at each end. Life guards are on duty on weekends and during holiday periods.

The double storey house has three bedrooms upstairs with two bathrooms (one m-e-s) and one bedroom and bathroom downstairs. Each bedroom has two single beds with a view of the sea. Situated in Leisure Bay, is the wooden house, Leisure Bay Self-catering which offers a comfortable stay for 6 people.

The house offers 1 bedroom that is furnished with a double bed and 2 bedrooms that are furnished with 2 single beds. The rooms share the use of 2 bathrooms, 1 of which is en suite. For convenience, linen and bathroom towels are provided, and fans and heaters are also available.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a gas stove and oven, a microwave, tea and coffee facilities as well as a breakfast bar. Guests can relax in the lounge which is equipped with a TV with DStv and opens onto a deck with a view of the surrounds.

Braai facilities, as well as parking under a shade net, is provided. Cleaning on weekends can be arranged at an additional cost. Pets are allowed by prior arrangement, unfortunately, this excludes monkeys.

The tree-lined property will keep the children entertained, and the beach is just 1 km away which offers surfing, bodyboarding and swimming.
