The Unexpected 7

Mister Daniel Webster decided 4 years ago he needs a new challenge and started bow hunting. Before he knew it he was at the Dallas Safari Club Show, talking to about their arrows and setup.
He mentioned that he would like to hunt Africa and walked over to booth to find out more. After a talk to Evan Sloan he booked his first plains game hunt to South Africa for the year 2020.
Like we all know, Covid put a stop to everyones safaris across the world.

Mister Daniel phoned Evan and asked is there anywhere he can go hunting. At that time Zambia and Tanzania just opened there borders and plans were quickly made to get to Zambia.
The Plains game hunt flew out of the window and Dan was on his way for his first animal with a bow and first of the Dangerous 7. The African Elephan.

In 2020 Dan shot a massive 74 pound Elephant bull and a big Hippo bull.
2021 he shot a 46” Cape Buffalo in South Africa.
2022 he went back to Zambia shot a tank of a Leopard and a +14 feet Nile Crocodile.
2023 mister Webster realised he is only two animals away from finishing the Unexpected Dangerous 7 and shot a beautiful African Lion and did a Vita Dart White Rhino.

Botswana - Day 13. Again African showed us that is not for the faint of hart. Africa is dark, brutal, hot, but it is basically Amazing. We got this monster of a bull the last day of the hunt on the last hour. I don’t think this could be scripted beter. Pressure was on us. And it showed that hard work pay’s off. Botswana - Day 12. Kamoer is one of the trackers here in Botswana. In 12 days of hunting 13-14 hours a day this man never once looked like giving up. We have done hundreds of miles on foot and by truck and everyday this man stand there with a smile on his face and light up if we find a new track. Tomorrow is our last day of hunting we need a miracle

Proud papa right here! For months Ashley has been practicing with the crossbow & studying shot placement. Yesterday was the big day and all the hard work paid off 💪🏻. These are the first animals she’s ever hunted and they both went down within 150 yards of the blind and it all happened in less than an hour. All of the meat is going to the staff except for some Waterbuck steaks Ashley will help me prepare. It doesn’t get any more real than this. From the bush straight to the dinner table.

Hunting a Hippo is the easy part! The Recovery is always challenging and sometimes can take the entire day. This hippo took over 2 hours to rise to the surface and then we spent over 4 hours getting him to a position where we could take photos and skin. Attached you will see videos of a local fisherman braving the remaining pod of hippos to check if we our boy was still under there. He confirmed by saying he could see a small green light under the water which of course was the lighted nock. The other video is of the guys rolling him down the Luangwa in croc infested waters. Hunting Hippo this morning @jasonstone470 and I went out to the banks of the Luangwa to check out a few Bulls and noticed very fresh Lion sign all around us. On our way back we found out why! These two young males scored a hippo kill just in the brush. The one wasn’t very happy with us being so close to his meal so we moved along. Great hunting these wild areas.
