It has been a while but we are still here exploring new camps and road and beautiful places to take our guests! Hopefully our overseas friends will soon be able to travel this beautiful country! Dichrostachys cinerea, the Latin name commonly known as Sickle bush, Christmas Kalahari tree, Bell mimosa and Chinese lantern tree. I like the name the Kalahari Christmas tree, specially this time of year.
It is a tree that provides for a lot of food for many animals and even humans and has a lot of medicinal uses! It is used and important for soil conservation but despite this, it is listed on the global invasive species database.

One of the false accusations of the spotted hyena is, is that they are mostly scavengers and that they steel most of their food from lions!The fact is that they are actually very successful hunters and they kill 66-90% of what they eat. They are intelligent, great mothers, and some say they are ugly??
