Lesser bushbabies, also known as lesser galago's (Galago moholi), are small primates native to Africa. Lesser bushbabies prefer dense, moist forests, woodlands, and bushy areas. They thrive in habitats with plenty of trees and vegetation, which provide both food and cover.

These primates are primarily nocturnal, meaning they are most active at night. Their large eyes are adapted for low-light conditions, allowing them to navigate and forage effectively in the dark.

Lesser bushbabies can be solitary or live in small family groups. They tend to be more social during the breeding season, and mothers typically care for their young alone.

They are omnivorous, feeding on fruits, insects, and tree gum (gum exudates). Their diet influences their foraging behaviour, as they often move through the trees to find food.

My airline lost my bag and he helped communicate with them to get it delivered for me. The house was spectacular and squeaky clean. Beautifully decorated and designed -worth every penny. Chacma baboons (Papio ursinus) are fascinating primates found primarily in southern Africa. Chacma baboons inhabit a range of environments, including savannas, woodlands, and mountainous regions. They are adaptable and can also be found in semi-arid areas.

At night, baboons often sleep in trees or on cliffs to avoid predators. They choose high, secure locations to enhance their safety.

They live in large, complex social groups called troops, which can consist of up to 200 individuals. The social structure is matriarchal, with females often forming the core of the troop.

Troops have a defined home range that they patrol and defend. This can vary widely in size depending on the availability of food and water, sometimes covering several square kilometres.

🏆Guest review: "Words can't describe the fantastic stay you will have here. The whole experience was just stunning! Mondray is probably the best host we've had on Airbnb. He communicated with us right after booking with him 6 months ago, advising us on which safari to book. He texted me a few days before, giving detailed instructions, and personally greeted us upon arrival. He also checked in with us daily, wanting to make sure we enjoyed every second of our trip! The house is very clean, spacious, well stocked, and all works perfectly. Basic kitchen items, such as salt, pepper, oil, and even coffee, tea, on hand, and milk in the fridge.

During load shedding, we went to the local restaurants just a few mins away, and we also used the braai. There is almost more wildlife activity in Marloth Park than in Kruger. All around the property, you see Kudu, Zebras, Wart Hogs, Impala, Giraffes, Nyalas, Bushbuck, Genets, Bushbabies, and Monkeys. It's unreal! Impalas are fascinating creatures with several unique traits:

Speed and Agility: Impalas are incredibly fast, reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h (37 mph). They can leap up to 10 meters (33 feet) in a single bound and jump up to 3 meters (10 feet) high to evade predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas.

Remarkable Leaps: When threatened, impalas often perform a unique behaviour called "pronking" or stotting", where they leap straight into the air with all four legs stiff. This is thought to confuse predators and show off their agility.

Social Structure: Impalas live in mixed groups of females and young, or in bachelor groups of males. Males, known as rams, compete for dominance and control of female groups, especially during the rut (mating season).

Adaptable Diet: Impalas are both grazers and browsers, meaning they can eat grass and leaves, depending on the season. This adaptability helps them survive in various environments across sub-Saharan Africa.

As of 2023, there are approximately 22,000 rhinos in the wild in Africa. This number includes both the white and black rhino species. Of the two, the southern white rhino is the most numerous, with around 18,000 individuals, while the black rhino population is much smaller, with about 5,500 remaining. We viewed them from our open safari vehicle for at least 20 - 30minutes before they disappeared into the darkness of the night...
