Umvangazi Rest – Relax under the African Kiaat Tree - Our tranquil home is situated in Marloth Park, a nature conservancy bordering the Crocodile River and the Kruger National Park. Warthogs, various buck species, monkeys, baboons, zebras and giraffes can been seen around the houses within Marloth Park. From viewing points you overlook the Kruger National Park where various animal species can be s
potted. Visitors also have the option to visit Lionspruit Private Game Reserve which is situated in Marloth Park. ACCOMMODATION:
Come and enjoy a relaxing, rejuvenating and peaceful setting in the bushveld. Umvangazi Rest is a self-catering house. It has an open plan kitchen and lounge area leading out onto a patio. Whilst relaxing outside, you can enjoy a braai/barbeque, have a bonfire in the boma or take a swim to cool off in the splash pool. Venture upstairs to the deck and enjoy the view and relax whilst keeping an eye out for the animals coming by for a drink at the water holes closely situated to the house. The house can sleep up to a maximum of 8 people and the kitchen is fully equipped. Two bedrooms are situated on ground floor, each with a double bed and air-conditioning. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Upstairs in the loft area is a double bed and two single beds. Both the loft area and second bedroom share a bathroom which has a shower.

"Where do I start...the beautiful place and its surroundings, the weather or the animals. This place is amazing. Beyond words. Nature at its best. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wanted a bush breakaway and got more then what we expected. The animals coming to the porch while we have breakfast or lunch made our holiday so much more special. 🐵🦓🦒 Taryn was a wonderful host. Our needs were attended to and she made sure our stay was a wonderful one. Always kept us up to date with the loadshedding schedule. Thank you Taryn. 🤗 My bush holiday was top notch. Umvangazi Rest is 'n plek waar jy onder die kiaatbome kan ontspan. Ons bied gerieflike selfsorgverblyf in 'n huis in die Marloth Park Reservaat wat grens aan die Krokodilrivier en die Krugerwildtuin, een van die grootste wildreservate in Suid-Afrika.
Die huis het gemaklike slaapplek vir tot 8 gaste en beskik oor 2 slaapkamers, 'n solderkamer, 2 badkamers en 'n oopplan-kombuis, -eetkamer en -leefarea. Die twee slaapkamers is op die onderste vloer geleë en elkeen beskik oor 'n dubbelbed en lugversorging. Die hoofslaapkamer het 'n en suite-badkamer met 'n stort. Die solderkamer beskik oor 'n dubbelbed en 2 enkelbeddens. Die tweede slaapkamer en die solderkamer maak gebruik van 'n gedeelde badkamer met 'n stort. Die kombuis is toegerus met 'n yskas, mikrogolfoond, oond, stoof en 'n ketel. Die oopplan-kombuis, -sitkamer en -eetarea bied toegang tot 'n stoep waar gaste kan ontspan en die rustige bosveld-atmosfeer kan geniet. 'n Skottelgoedwasser is beskikbaar. Gaste geniet toegang tot 'n plonspoel, braaigeriewe en 'n boma. Die boonste dek is die ideale plek om te ontspan terwyl jy die uitsig geniet en kyk hoe die wild by die nabygeleë watergate vergader. Kyk uit vir vlakvarke, ape, bobbejane, bokke, sebras en kameelperde wat vrylik in die park rondloop.
Marloth Park het verskeie plekke waar jy oor die Krugerwildtuin kan uitkyk waar heelwat wildspesies gesien kan word. Die nabygeleë Krokodilrivier is die tuiste van seekoeie en krokodille. Besoekers kan die Lionspruit Privaat Wildreservaat besoek wat in Marloth Park geleë is. Daar is verskeie doendinge in en om Marloth Park. Beplan 'n daguitstappie na die Krugerwildtuin ? die Malelane- en Krokodilbrug-hekke is net 'n klipgooi weg! Geniet 'n skemerkelkie of 'n piekniek by een van die uitkykplekke aan die oewer van die Krokodilrivier of gaan speel 'n potjie gholf by die baan in Komatipoort.
Daar is 'n winkelsentrum in Marloth Park wat basiese benodigdhede verkoop en daar is 'n vulstasie, restaurant, deli, drankwinkel, wassery, hardewarewinkel, 'n bakkery en 'n slaghuis. Ontbyt, middagete en aandete kan by een van die lodges in Marloth Park geniet word of in Komatipoort.
