UVONGO BEACH is famous for its waterfall that plunges 23m down into the lagoon forming one of the deepest lagoons in the country and the huge rock escarpment, dense with foliage that shelters the Uvongo beach bathing area.
Alongside the Uvongo River there is a hiking trail which leads to the Uvongo River Nature Reserve.
The main swimming beach has a Snack Kiosk, Curio Stall, Ablution Facilities, Life-savers on duty, shark nets and good waves for body or board Surfing. The lagoon also has Paddle Boats and Canoes to hire (access from main beach)
Direct access to the main Beach / lagoon area or the Fishing Pier from the Laguna complex is possible through a security gate … a short walk over some rocks and the seaside is yours!
