Meet Olivia, an olive sunbird, who is an unfortunate fortunate fledgling. Found grasping to a clump of old mans beard for dear life.

Her brother died this morning from a fall out the nest.

She has been transported to the Free Spirit Sanctuary here in Sodwana Bay.

She will be just fine.

Sodwana Bay is a top-notch dive destination, notable for having the southernmost tropical coral reefs globally, situated even further south than the Great Barrier Reef. The area is rich in marine biodiversity, hosting over 1,200 species and a dense coral ecosystem. Dive conditions are influenced by wind and currents, with depths varying from 10 meters to 40meters. My personal favorite reef is Ramsey's Reef which is situated 8 nautical miles from Jesser Point.
