Introducing Ndawo's Rondavel at our neighbor’s beautiful Homestay! 🌿 This cozy space can accommodate up to 6 guests, with the option of single beds or 1 double bed and 4 single beds. Inside, you’ll find a quaint table and a small cupboard for your essentials. Step outside to enjoy a covered, traditionally built braai area, perfect for relaxing evenings. The shared toilet and shower is just outside the rondavel. All built by Mr Ndawo himself.

To top it all off, book a delicious traditional Xhosa cuisine dinner at Ndawo's Diner, located on the same property. You'll dine in the comfort of his home’s dining room, for a truly local and memorable experience!

We left the beautiful space of Wild Lubanzi this morning to spend a week at Wild Spirit who is hosting the first Connectival. There will be a meeting on 24 October for discussions in youth and adventure tourism marketing and safety. We look forward to seeing all your operators, establishment owners and key players in our industry come together. Not to mention a visit to the state of the art music studio, delicious food, spiky cocktails and wine tasting!

One of the best things to do when visiting Lubanzi is to walk to the big lagoon and watch the sun set over the Mncwasa River. It is about a 35 minute walk either along the coastline, passing the most beautiful bays or through the little forest listening to hundreds of birds singing and monkeys dancing in the trees. If you are lucky you might just see a fish eagle.

Our Story

A long long time ago stories of a wonderful magic world were told to children scattered around our globe. Over the decades some of these people found themselves in a little village named in the Xhosa tongue - Lubanzi describing the depth of the oceans and vast open spaces around us. More and more were drawn to the magic hills and secret beaches to wonder the animal paths through the little villages. Thatched houses dot the hills and valleys while kites and eagles soar above.

The children who went into the world to search for their tribe found themselves together on a hillside one day. They sat and watched and listened, ate and drank and danced and when the night was done and the morning sun rose... They decided to build a home for those searching the earth for a place to rest their magic upon. So was the Fastness of the Wild built, a Keep of Wine, of happiness and contemplation. The gardens of Wild were planted, the magic of seeds spread through the land. Soon forests will grow and the magic will spill over into the world around. Join us if you are so inspired.
