Labserve presented this week on how to take soil, leaf and water samples at the Golden Macadamias' study groups in Mpumalanga.

It was great to meet with growers and chat about the season's progress.

Topics also included new cultivars and cross-pollination presented by Bernhard Jordaan from Top Nut and soil management presented by Gerda Burger from Omya Idwala.

The mystery surrounding their absence has been unraveled by engineer Pascal Cotte. Through his meticulous 240-megapixel scans of the painting, Cotte discovered traces of the original features, revealing that Leonardo da Vinci did indeed paint the iconic subject with both brows and lashes. However, centuries of restoration and cleaning have worn away these fine details, leaving only subtle traces.
