The dogs are coming along nicely , just over a year old and they are hot on a track and already understand what the story is about . Brothers from the same litter , but very different personalties . The little buggers can make your day a lot shorter on a wounded animal track , this resulting in more hunting time .

Day 4,5&6 brought new surprises and adventure to the hunting party . Ed hunted a beautiful old kudu bull at last light of day 4 . The moon was playing up and feeding and drinking behaviour of the animals had changed somewhat . We sat another 2 nights for the bushpig and yet again no sign of the big boar . Of the 8 pigs on bait , 3 have been on walkabout for 4 days now . So I have loaded the bait site again and sooner or later the whole clang will be back. Although we were ghosted this time , he may get an approved visa on the next safari . Day 5 Sydney took a beautiful kudu bull at mid day with a lovely walk and stalk in the heat . We shot the bull at about 50 yards , with the bullet passing straight through a tree and killed the kudu within minutes . Ed did not sit back and watch , and took a beauty of a Klipspringer and Steenbuck . Sydney ended strong with a nice southern impala and "BossNitro caught his second animal for the week . The boy is learning fast and is great to have on our team . Good dogs are an invaluble asset to have . Last day we had a fantastic lunch at the waterfalls . All in all a superb couple of days with even better people . Enjoy Kruger my friends and safe travels until next time .

Day 1,2&3 with Ed and his daughter in camp . We have been seeing quite a lot of game considering hunting the full moon . Sydney managed to put a big Zebra stallion in the salt on the first morning . She then harvested a beaut of a common duiker during magic hour . On the 3rd morning we put a bullet into a kudu bull at around 7:30 and managed to put him down with the great help of my new dog "Boss Nitro". He is only a year old now (born 4th May) and was his first animal he tracked and bayed on his own . This makes my heart warm as there is light at the end of the tunnel . These little fury buggers are truly a mans best companion , especially in our line of work . We have a big squad of bushpig on bait that were coming like clockwork , that is however until you go and sit for them. They came in both times we sat , except the big boar ... Its not over ,bushpigs 2 zero .

Day 8&9 and some of the hunting party had tagged out the previous day . We did a little more scouting and exploring . Kieth still had 2 of the tiny to per-sue and they were not making it easy for us . However if one is persistent and continues to probe and grind your luck has to change for the better . After lots of calling and many miles on foot we finally connected with a stud of a Red Duiker . The Sharpes Greysbuck is still at large, but we will try him
On Kieth's next trip . Bon voyage friends and safe travels . We at Safariland Hunting Outfitters would like to thank you for hunting and choosing us as your destination .

Day 5&6 out and about . Exploring new spots on this wonderful area that we are very blessed and privileged to hunt on . Karen took a fabulous day time Bushpig and Jim connected with a nice Gemsbuck bull. Kieth was taming snakes or "nope ropes " . Some work was on the cards when the team had to cut up and carry the Gemsbuck out of the hills . All in all a great two days with superb scenery and surroundings . Johns eldest boy was earning his keep too by helping with the recovery of the animal . We still have one or two critters to put in the salt , but thats tomorrows problem .

Spotted this monster in one of our hunting areas . The Klipspringer has mountain goat like hooves for jumping and climbing rocky , mountainous terrain . His hair or fur is actually monofolical quills which act as a shock absorber should he ever lose his footing in the rocks . When you have successfully harvested one ,make sure to keep him cool and he should be skinned or caped as soon as possible , as this beautiful little tiny ten specimen is the most prone to hair-slip. Contact us today if you would like to connect with one of these stunning fellows . www.safarilandho.com

TANK of an eland! One of the biggest bodied bulls we’ve taken tipping the scale just over 2000lbs
As big as they are they can disappear in an instant and cover much ground quickly.
