Branch Operations Manager – Cape Town

We are looking for a candidate to oversee our Cape Town operation. We are a vehicle rental and safari company with specialized 4WD campers in our large fleet.

Some of these vehicles are based at our offices in Cape Town and they need to be maintained and prepared to high standards, the person is also responsible to ensure we provide a high service level to our arriving customers and also for creating a professional working environment.

We require someone who has technical experience on vehicles as well as experience in dealing with clients and general business and HR management experience.

Salary is approximately 35k per month with additional benefits.

The latest Toyota Hilux 4x4 auto Bushcamper (HILCAM) has been introduced a few months ago and will replace the Alucab camper we previously used. This will not happen overnight so we are in a transition period for this year, where both campers will be available and used to honour HILCAM bookings. As we go into next year the fleet should be predominantly this latest spec.

Please see attached images for a better idea of what to expect. We are very excited to have this new addition to the fleet!

Botswana has received very heavy rains over the last few weeks.

You can only drive on the main routes and need to be very cautious. The wading depth is 70cm so you cannot cross deeper water than this in any vehicle.

When driving into puddles, don’t drive too fast as the more the water splashes up the more chance there is of alternator issues. This is not covered by us or insurance.

Third bridge is not currently recommended. There may be limited access from Xakanaka but you will face lots of water and mud. There is no access from the South gate currently.

Makgadigadi pans and any pans in CKGR will be very muddy and must be avoided.

*COVID-19 UPDATE BOTSWANA*
PCR TESTS AND VACCINATIONS NO LONGER COMPULSORY IN BOTSWANA!

The Ministry of Health informs members of the public that with effect from today (28/09/2022), wearing of masks in Botswana will now be optional in all areas. All other remaining COVID-19 protocols like social distancing in schools and requirements for vaccination or PC tests at ports of entry, have also been removed.

Since COVID-19 is still with us, the ministry advises Botswana and residents of this country to ensure that they are vaccinated or have taken their booster shots, if due, so that they remain protected against the disease. The ministry further advises parents to allow their children aged 5 to 18 years, to also get vaccinated against COVID-19.

It is only through vaccination against the disease that people can freely go about with their everyday life without fear of any possibility of severe symptoms if they get infected. Despite this latest relaxation of COVID-19 protocols, the ministry still advises Botswana and residents of this country to use their discretion to still follow some protocols, as this can help safeguard their health.
