We love a sundowner at our lookout spot, with its breathtaking views over Jozini Dam and a bar setup under the Euphorbia tree. We had a curious Kudu come along to join us, what a delightful way to start your stay at Tandweni Villa.

Tigerfishing is our main activity offered at Tandweni Villa, our skipper Jabs makes sure it’s fun for the whole family. Our boat can take a max of 10 guests and we supply all the rods, tackle & bait. Book your next family Tigerfishing adventure with us, it really is a bucket list experience 🙌

One of the unique experiences at Tandweni Villa is our boat cruises on Jozini Dam, which we always enthusiastically recommend. There is something genuinely enchanting about being out on the expansive waters of this dam. From the incredible birdlife along the shoreline to the game viewing on the grassy plains, every moment is captivating. The absolute highlight is the thrilling tiger fishing, a bucket list experience when staying at Tandweni Villa.

Most of our rooms at the villa can be made from twin/king depending on what you are needing. Each room has its own unique design like this gorgeous Zebra room, we are constantly improving & redesigning our rooms so that there is always be something new for our returning guests.

For those who don’t know we are located within the Pongola Game Reserve which is BIG 4, this means we don’t have any lions or cheetah. But there is still plenty to see on game drives, with over 400 bird species we are renowned for our amazing bird sightings. We focus on the small things and take our time to enjoy the sightings.

It’s hard to beat an Aperol at the pool before a long boozy lunch under the pergola with these breathtaking views, watching the animals coming to drink at the waterhole & the odd cheeky hornbill popping in to try snag some crumbs from lunch! It really is the best place to be on warm summer days!

Sometimes you just get lucky...on a night drive after our guests enjoyed sundowners at our lookout point they were lucky enough to spot the illusive leopard not far from the villa.

We are so excited to be sharing our community upliftment project with Mpetha Creche in Candova. We are working closing with them to hopefully build ablutions & a new classroom in the near future. The principal Mrs Nkosi is the most generous & kindhearted woman who feeds the kids with her own food as some of them arrive with nothing. They have no water, no food or electricity, their classroom is not weather proof and they have no ablutions.
But the joy on their faces when we arrived with sandwiches, books, toys & puzzles was something I will hold onto forever.
We will be taking our guests to Mpetha Creche to interact with the children, cook a hot meal for them & enjoy the experience of giving back to the community that so desperately needs our help.

We are incredibly excited to launch our community outreach Programme, we have been working closely with our local Nduna. We will be offering our guests the opportunity to provide a wholesome meal & to spend time with the children at the orphanage. We will be doing our first donation drive of clothing & toys this Mandela day.

We have worked incredibly hard to create a space that is family friendly, where children are encouraged to explore & experience new things. From our scavenger hunt bush walk to interactive game drives & our famous fishing adventures. We want nothing more than for your children to immerse themselves in the truly unique experiences we offer at Tandweni Villa, they will hold onto these feelings & memories for months to come.
