Whether you are looking for an intimate getaway for two or a spot for friends and family to come together and have a memorable time, we have got you covered! Choose between our two sleeper cottage, with the option of putting in a mattress for your little one, or our main house which sleeps fifteen. Proudfoot is ideal for anyone who would enjoy bicycle riding or road bike riding (to bring your own

bikes), walks/runs, bird watching (The bird life on the farm is prolific and ever changing according to the seasons. More than 79 different species of birds have been recorded in an area of approximately 8km squared .. and the farm is within that area!) and fishing in the Mooi River, or Cragie Burn Dam which is +/- 5kms away, but a 4x4 is needed. Often buck can be spotted, as they wander on and off the farm at different times. If you want to the have the rolling mountains on your doorstep, enjoy the African sunsets and feel complete serenity, then this is the place for you - Heaven On Earth!

Proudfoot Holiday Farm is off the beaten track and offers self-catering and pet friendly holiday accommodation 35kms from Mooi River, KZN ⛰️
Proudfoot is the perfect place to ride bikes (bicycles and dirt bikes), go on walks, do a bit of fishing (bass) and just enjoy some African sunsets and the beauty which lies in our land 🇿🇦

Aloe Hill is our 8 sleeper unit perched up in the mountains! There are 3 bedrooms, each room offering an exquisite view of the vast landscape. There are 2 bathrooms, each with a shower. The lounge, dining area and kitchen all flow into each other, all looking onto the rolling hills 🌄 The outside verandah allows the perfect space to soak up the sun and just enjoy the stillness 🕊️
Rates are R500 per adult per night and R250 per child (2 years old - 12 years old) per night.

The Cottage is our cute 2 sleeper unit! It offers a fully equiped kitchen, dining area, lounge, bathroom and a verandah with a gorgeous little garden. This unit is fully fenced for your furry friends 🐕 It is the perfect little spot to relax in nature!
Rates are R450 per adult per night.

Why it all began 🤎

The owners of Proudfoot Holiday Farm originally bought a share in Proudfoot Farm in 2003. They were in the stage of their lives where they were spending many weekends with friends going to different places to do outrides. They rather decided to invest in Proudfoot Farm which offered many hectares to explore!

So many special memories have been made and as the years have passed the current bikes are not being used as much, but rather just sitting and catching dust in the garage.

Therefore, we have decided to rent the quad bikes out to our guests! There are 4 quad bikes which have just been serviced and are ready for some new life 🧡

Enquire about renting our quad bikes when you book your next stay! Day visitors are also welcome ☺️

“We stayed at Aloe Hill over Christmas and it was amazing! The views from both the living area downstairs and the main bedroom on top are out of this world! The seclusion and privacy of the house is perfect for those that are after a quiet escape.
The house is tastefully decorated and comfortable. Having full wifi and tv amenities was a big help since we had our 2 young children with us to entertain.
The solar electricity source was ample even with a day and a half of heavy rain and clouds.
The road up into the mountains is rather steep at times and rocky majority of the way so having a 4x4 or high clearance vehicle would give you full peace of mind, however we took the risk with a Hyundai atos and it did very well on the way up and even made it down fine after quite heavy rains!
Ernsest the grounds manger was super helpful in assisting us out as well.
The fact that it’s pet friendly was such a plus for us as we can never find places to take our large dog anywhere.
Will definitely be back any chance we get! 🤩”

A perfect getaway for those who appreciate nature and the peace and quiet.
The views are simply breathtaking! We loved everything about Proudfoot Farm, watching the mist rolling in, and hearing an animal’s cry in the middle of the night, it was really a wonderful experience. The peace and quiet is just what we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk. Aloe Hill cottage had everything we needed and was very modern. - Ashika R

The Main House accommodates 15 guests in five bedrooms, with four bathrooms. There is a large open-plan kitchen and dining room, two lounges, and a bar. The entertainment area offers space for braaing and relaxing (and a little sokkie 💃🏼). There is ample space for the kids and dogs to run and explore in the large garden!
