"Wow! What a beautiful, chilled place. The horses, sheep & geese are chilled, the atmosphere, the cottage, the top dam, the bees, Ali & Buggs - so relaxed. The trail to river is rather exciting but challenging, so worth it right now (March 2024) because there are Josephine’s Candelabra that are flowering!!! Resident botanical expert Sally and her border collie Renn have really made the trail wonderful to walk. Besides the Brunsvigia josephinae, they’ve also labelled lots of other plants. Just need to look for labels while hubby, doggalogs and you (all unfit) are toiling along the beautiful trail.
We didn’t get to explore the whole farm - so we will be back. Five star woofs from Riley and Loki 🐾
Love the small nuances like the be.bare toiletries that Ali provides. Just book - you will love it :-) "

is coming... Sunflower Cottage is open from the Saturday 30 March for the . Come chill and rejuvenate the soul. We have dams to swim and paddle in, or catch & release Black Bass. Patio's to braai on as well an indoor fireplace (with endless firewood), hammocks to swing in, and a Gin Distillery a spitting distance away!

We are off grid (so no load shedding worries) self-catering, and pet friendly - so whether your kids are 2legged or 4 legged, bring the family or just yourselves and enjoy Blommekloof.
Sunflower Cottage has 2 bedrooms - one with a double bed (you’ll go nuts for the brass headboard), and one with two single beds. We can also move in a double bed or bunk beds on request.

We were gifted a bunch of these extraordinary "Cabbage Tree Moth" caterpillars - aren't they just exquisite! We are so excited for them they pupate and turn into these moths*. For now, they are enjoying this tree (strangely enough, NOT the cabbage tree which is next to it 😂)
