Protea Escape Retro style beach holiday home on the exclusive Onrus Peninsula This is our private little retreat from the daily hustle and bustle of city living.

Situated on the exclusive and sought after Onrus peninsula, no more than 100m from the beach and lagoon, our home offers something a little different from the typical accommodation in the area. Representing one of the very last original holiday home chalets on the peninsula, we have recently redecorated the house without detracting from it's simplicity. The accommodation comprises a open plan kitc

hen, dining and living area with a downstairs bathroom (shower and bath). Upstairs are 2 good sized bedrooms with double beds - one facing to the garden and the other to the quiet street. Between the 2 rooms is a small 3rd bedroom with 2 single beds ideal for children but not usually recommended for adults. To the rear of the property is a private garden including braai place and social fire pit. A new flatlet and ensuite bathroom provides additional comfortable accommodation. Ample off road parking available. DSTV in the main house. Sadly, no wifi available at the moment. Dogs are welcome.

A bunch of improvements this week. UPS for the WiFi, loadshedding bulbs to ease the impact of Eskom’s endless service issues, WiFi extended to the flatlet and a spanking new Samsung Smart TV for guests to bring their streaming accounts with them. A few maintenance items identified to be sorted in the next few weeks, all ready for the season.

Protea Escape is unexpectedly available 13 to 20 December due to a last minute cancellation. We’d hate for it to sit empty at this time of year. Just 100m from the Blue Flag Onrus beach!

Recently completed transforming the garage into a flatlet. So happy with the transformation. The house now boasts 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and sleeps 8. The new wooden deck under the milkwood is an added feature providing a great space for having a meal.
