This magnificent holiday home is situated in “The Pensinsula on Vaal”, a 4000 hectare estate on the banks of the Vaal dam, approximately 150 km from Johannesburg. This estate has a high level of security with a single point of entry and exit and hosts a variety of game including Springbuck, Wildebeest, Hartebeest, Eland and Deer.
Alan’s Place is a 3.2 hectare waterfront property and consists of a 7 bedroom house, with 4 bathrooms, guest toilet, a loft with 7 single beds, a lounge/dining room and fully equipped kitchen. A big entertainment area with a bar, pool table, DSTV and music system. The property also has a 135 metre slipway for boat launching.
The Vaal dam is renowned for events like the annual Vaal dam Bonanza and various other fishing competitions. It also hosts the Round the Island Yacht race in it’s 53rd year, held by the Deneys Yacht Club. This event has held the Guinness World Record since 2007 in the category of “Most yachts in an inland race”.
Some of the interesting places to visit and things to do in the area is for instance the Weltevrede Lion Farm which caters for game drives, Clay Pigeon shooting and 4 x 4 trails. As well as the Deneys Croc Farm, a working crocodile farm near the Marina Village of Deneysville. They cater for educational tours, feed watching and is equipped with a restaurant and bar.
