The special permit rate for gorilla trekking in 2025 was extended for certain travel periods! If a close encounter with a gorilla family in the wild is still high on your priority list, you must not miss out on this opportunity.

Travel from January to May 2025 and November to December 2025 and only pay USD 500.00 for your gorilla permit.

From June to October 2025 the permit cost will be USD 1 500.00 per person.

2024 marked 21 years of touring for Live the Journey. Mongolia is an undiscovered gem that is sandwiched between Russia and China and not on mainstream tourist routes.

After Greenland, Mongolia is the least densely populated country in the world. During our guided self-drive tour, the vastness of the Mongolian Steppes will open up as you drive, the dunes of the Gobi and Bactrian camels is an amazing sight, and the nomadic culture of the Mongolian people is a unique part of living in the countryside. There are more than 5 million horses in Mongolia (nearly double the country’s human population!) and a highlight of the tour is a demonstration by the incredibly skilled horse herders.

Live the Journey started ten years ago with two individuals having a vision to make travel more than just a "bus window experience".
