In Namakwaland is reentyd nie vir vinnigstap nie, dis vir stadig stap met jou oe op die grond en kyk waar jy trap, want jy ontdek skatte sover jy loop. Dis 'n tyd van dankbaarheid en grasie en asemskep en alles geniet.

Somertyd is 'n tyd van vroe loop. Wanneer die son nog nie eens sy broek opgetrek het nie, moet jy al in die veld wees. Dan loop jy met jou oe op die horison en 'n knielende hart. Jy kyk ver en wyd tot by jou Maker en weer trug tot diep in jou hart,want die seisoen is hard en swaar en gestroop van genade.

Dit smeek jy af elke dag daar waar die oggenster sy hoed vir jou lig en jy die eerste voelsang hoor. En genade kry jy, vars en nuut, genoeg vir elke dag, soos die manna van ouds.
