🦌 Witness the incredible teamwork between our wildlife vet @veeartsen_sune_kunde and dedicated student @emeliefieseler as they take on the challenge of immobilizing a majestic Nyala bull! 🔬 With spiral horns and a strong spirit, this big guy put up a fight, but thanks to quick thinking and expert skills, they brought him down safely before the drugs wore off. 🌍These spiral-horned antelope, require significantly more immobilizing drugs than other species and are notorious for running long distances after being darted. That’s why our aim is to get the animal down as quickly as possible! Long chases can lead to overheating and capture myopathy, a serious condition that can cause muscle damage due to over-exertion.
