I have to say that I am very lucky and thankful to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Obviously, I love showing people around my home, too. They say that no one can show a place better than a local. Here are a few pictures of my last trip to the eastern Cape wild coast. We also explored the Drakensberg mountains which were covered in snow. Quite a difference after 4 hrs of driving from the warm Indian Ocean. #

I just love this old church way in the mountains. I wonder if anyone still visits it. It's probably a good spot as it is closer to God than in the crazy city.

There are quite a few ways to get around Lesotho. You should go and explore this mountainous country and enjoy the endless scenery. Winter is a lot different to summer but I can't decide which I prefer. Which season would you like to travel in Lesotho?

I actually have a lot of pictures of Botswana, and I love exploring that wild country. Maybe you should join me when I go there from the 18th October to the 2nd November. You can expect incredible African wildlife, camping, and fun 4x4 driving. Join me in one of my 4x4s or drive your own. Exploring Lesotho and some deep sea fishing on the Indian Ocean off the Kzn coast was such fun. I especially enjoyed showing tourists around the places I love. One minute high in the Drakensberg mountains and then camping at the beach.

Enjoying some off road driving in Savuti in Botswana. Doing a safari in Botswana is mostly to see amazing African wildlife, but a part of the fun is also the 4x4 driving. Although most of the main roads are paved, you certainly need a 4x4 vehicle to explore the wild National Parks in Botswana. #

This is the beautiful Maletsunyana falls in Lesotho. The difference between summer and winter is quite big. High up in the Drakensberg mountains of Lesotho, you need to be prepared for anything. Sometimes I meet fellow overlanders who think they can do 180km in 2 hrs. Well you are lucky if it takes all day.

Some of the beautiful creatures we saw on a recent trip to Botswana. Lots of people want to see lions and other strong predators, including me, but it is also great to sit quietly and enjoy the other incredible African wildlife.
