According to Lightstone with data offered by Tracker, coastal towns in South Africa have again been the preferred destinations over the holiday season.

The Western Cape’s Mossel Bay and nearby Great Brak Rivier led the way, with surfer paradise Jeffreys Bay next, followed by long-time favourite Plettenberg Bay and the increasingly popular Stilbaai and nearby Groot-Jongensfontein.

Six of the beaches are located in the Garden Route - a destination with 20 Blue Flag Beaches.
