Penguins in Africa are absolutely amazing! The African penguin (Spheniscus demersus), also known as the “jackass penguin” due to its braying call, is a unique and fascinating species native to the continent’s southern coast.

Their charming waddles and curious behavior make them a highlight for visitors to the South African coastline. Boulders Beach offers a unique opportunity to see these penguins up close in their natural environment.

Quatermain's 1920's Safari Camp - Amakhala Game Reserve falls nothing short of spectacular, with truly passionate staff and a camp that was hand built by the same individuals who guide and assist you.
Even though the weather didn’t play along we still saw an unbelievable amount of wildlife and the staff accommodated us endlessly.
